Teachers Get Technology Training

The Atlantic County Educational Technology Training Center will offer its Technology Proficiency Series beginner and intermediate levels at the center at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey over the summer.

Each certificate series consists of eight workshops that are eligible for the state’s professional-development credits.

The beginner series includes technology basics, word processing and mail merge, the Internet, spreadsheets and graphing, database, multimedia and problem-based learning in the classroom.

The intermediate series includes digital imaging, adaptive devices in the classroom, drawing and painting, and Web-based projects, plus intermediate spreadsheets and database.

The classes are geared towards teachers, but others may attend for a fee depending on space availability.
