So You Want to be an Administrator- An Interactive Situational Leadership Seminar

Description:

As enthusiastic new administrators transition into positions of leadership and decision making soon discover, theoretical perceptions of their duties as an administrator may be grossly underestimated.  Until you occupy the position, you operate from a theoretical perception of the duties and responsibilities of any job or position of power, influence, or leadership.

This workshop forum will include exercises and discussions based upon school decision making scenarios and situational leadership decision making that are daily judgements at the building and central office administrative levels.

The interactive workshop shall also include discussions regarding when to include available personnel resources including law enforcement and legal counsel to assist in the daily decision making judgements that reactively or responsively direct the success or failures that a school system encounters every day.

Suggestions for decision tree modeling that assist in navigating challenges of today’s public schools will be part of the workshop agenda as well.

This workshop is designed for new administrators, graduate students, interested teachers and professional support staff.

A light breakfast will be served.
